Real beat Cádiz with great performances from Isco and James but it could all go to waste.

Rafa Benítez decided to make some rotations and that could be the turning point of Real Madrid's run in the 2015-2016 Copa del Rey. Denis Cheryshev was sent off during Villarreal's last game in the Copa del Rey last season and therefore he was suspended, meaning that the wasn't able to feature in this game.

However, he started and scored Real's opening goal in the 3rd minute, something that could get Real Madrid disqualified from the competition if Cádiz decide to appeal. Some reports and interpretations suggest that Cheryshev's suspension could've been lifted after the end of last season's Copa del Rey but it will all have to be confirmed during the next few hours.

The game ended as soon as the rumor of Real's mistake started hitting Cádiz's stadium. The fans sang "Cheryshev can't play" and players from both teams appeared to lose their focus and concentration. Real ended up winning the game 1-3 with great performances from James and Isco, the latter even scored twice.

Real's effort could be wasted if the Spanish Federation confirms that Cheryshev was suspended, but nobody from neither team wasn't sure of the outcome of this affair just yet.
