The Bernabéu isn't too happy with him.

Rafa Benítez will have to work very hard to turn the jeers into applause. The Spanish manager was whistled very loudly when the announcer called his name before the home match against Rayo Vallecano kicked off. Real Madrid ended up winning the game 10-2 but Rayo were ahead 1-2 until the referee sent Tito off. When Jémez's men scored the 1-2 goal, the Bernabéu whistled the players again.

So yes, Real won the game scoring a lot of goals. Still, it was a bittersweet win for everyone within the club. Rayo played most of the game down to 9 men and it seems that the fans will not forgive Benítez very easily . It seems that the Spanish manager is the one blamed for Real's poor results against elite opposition this season, including the disastrous 0-4 loss against Barcelona or the recent 1-0 defeat in Villarreal.

Real Madrid will visit Mestalla two weeks from now in what will be another hard game for Los Blancos.
