Fabio Capello among candidates to coach Real Madrid

Now reports from Spain say that Benítez will coach the team against Real Sociedad, though.

After suggesting that Rafa Benítez was going to be sacked before Real Madrid's next home game against Real Sociedad on December 30, most reports coming from Spain indicate that Madrid will give him one more chance to get things right and keep the boat afloat. However, Benítez will leave the club after the next big disappointment.

Mourinho and Zinedine Zidane appeared to be the only candidates to replace Benítez, but now Spanish radio COPE says that Fabio Capello and Víctor Fernández are being considered too. Capello has coached Real Madrid twice in his career while Víctor Fernández was hired as Director of the Academy a few months ago.

Either way, it seems that Benítez's era with Real Madrid is almost over. Apparently, he has lost the dressing room with players like Kroos, James and Isco being unhappy with his coaching style and decisions. Capello is known for being a very severe coach and nobody knows whether this would be successful with this roster or not.
