It's no secret that the media around Real Madrid's camp enjoy some controversy. It has always been that away and some relevant editors have admitted that they sell more papers after a big loss by Los Blancos. However, Rafa Benítez suggested today that the rumors around his potential departure from Real Madrid have nothing to do with his lack of results.

"It is clear that there is a campaign against Florentino, against me and against Real Madrid. Everything is manipulated. Real Madrid's best interests are different from those of the media, this team is doing some things very well while they have to improve in others. We'll keep working," said the Spanish coach before adding that his relationship with the players is "way better than the one explained in the media."

Real Madrid will host Real Sociedad tomorrow hoping to earn a statement win before the tough away game against Valencia (Sunday).
