Spanish goalkeeper David De Gea will be Real Madrid's biggest signing this next summer. De Gea hasn't signed a contract extension with Manchester United because he's waiting for Real Madrid to make the final decision about his potential transfer to the Spanish capital, sources told Managing Madrid.

Real's captain Iker Casillas will play a big part in these negotiations. If Real Madrid decide to keep Casillas, De Gea will not sign for Real Madrid, as he doesn't want "an unfair fight" for the starting spot. However, Casillas and Real Madrid could agree to part ways this next summer, as both parts are starting to realize that the controversy around Real's goalkeeper will never end until he leaves.
It all indicates that Casillas will indeed leave and De Gea will be his replacement. However, Real Madrid need to make up their minds soon.— Lucas Navarrete (@LucasNavarreteM) February 16, 2015
Carlo Ancelotti and Real Madrid's board believe that De Gea would be the biggest upgrade the club could make during this next summer. With Los Blancos still reported to be after Marco Reus and Paul Pogba, De Gea is Real's top priority.
It could all change if Real Madrid don't make the decision soon. Manchester United have offered De Gea a big contract extension and the goalkeeper will not wait for Real Madrid much longer. Florentino Pérez and José Ángel Sánchez need to decide what to do with Iker Casillas' situation as soon as possible
