Karim Benzema could not complete Tuesday's training session because of a cold. He was listed as questionable by Real Madrid, but he has now recovered from his illness and is ready to start today's UEFA Champions League against Schalke 04.
Benzema: After pulling out of yesterday's training with a cold, he's now ready to start and should be in Ancelotti's XI.

It would have been strange to see Benzema missing such an important game because of a simple cold. Things could've gone differently had he had fever, but it wasn't the case. Chicharito Hernández and Jesé Rodríguez will have to wait a bit longer before they start a match for Real Madrid in Karim Benzema's absence.
The French striker completed one of the best performances of his career against Schalke 04 last season, when Real Madrid were able to win 1-6 at the Veltins Arena.
