Luka Modric rejoins Real Madrid's training

Good news for Carlo Ancelotti. Luka Modric, a key midfielder in his system, completed Thursday's recovery session with his teammates. This doesn't mean that he'll be available for Sunday's match against Elche, though.

This means that Modric's return could happen soon. The Croatian midfielder will still need a couple of weeks to improve his condition and avoid set backs, but it seems that he could definitely be ready for El Clásico at the Camp Nou on March 22nd.

After Modric's injury, Real Madrid could not keep up with their brilliant performances, even though Isco replaced him almost perfectly. However, Modric's defensive positioning and awareness is vital for Real Madrid's collective play. Ancelotti will be thrilled about having him back, given that he was arguably one of the world's best midfielders during 2014.
