La Liga, Real Madrid vs Sevilla: Player Ratings

Disastrous game for Real Madrid in terms on injuries, but they were still able to get the win.

Casillas: 7. Shaky defense on one Sevilla corner-kick, but it's true that he saved a very clear one-on-one opportunity on the third minute that could have given Sevilla the lead.

Arbeloa: 6. As always, his offensive contribution wasn't that noticeable, but he completed a decent defensive performance pressing high up the pitch and that way allowing Real Madrid to keep the possession of the ball by forcing Sevilla to turn it over quite often.

Varane: 7. Good game for Varane, wqhose chemistry with Nacho will need to get sorted out before Saturday's Derby. Sevilla never got Varane in trouble but the French still showed his quickness. Saturday will be a much more difficult challenge for him.

Ramos: He was forced to leave the game early on without time to make a big impact.

Marcelo: 4. The Brazilian left-back just needed to stay calm and avoid getting booked, but the referee showed him a yellow card during the second half and he will now miss the Derby. Marcelo should have been more disciplined.

Kroos: 7. As always, Kroos was decent, but not as brilliant as he's used to. Still, he kept the ball and controlled the game well for Madrid.

Khedira: 7. Tonight, Ancelotti gave Khedira a chance to redeem himself after his mediocre recent performances, and he delivered. While he wasn't great, he showed committment and discipline on Real's midfield. he might be on his way out of the club, but if he plays this way, Khedira is still a useful player for Ancelotti.

Isco: 7. Good assist to Jesé Rodríguez on Real's second goal, but it's true that he wasted a couple of goalscoring chances that would made Real's task easier.

James: 7. Scored Real's opening goal but left the game with a bone injury. Still, his goal was enough for him to get a good grade.

Bale: 5. The Welsh attacker was successful with his dribbles but still keeps wasting important opportunities. Bale needs to wake up and silent his critics.

Benzema: 5. Helped his team deffensively but his offensive production was mediocre. Real Madrid definitely miss him when he's not available.

Nacho: 6. Good game by the canterano, who will be under a lot of pressure next Saturday. Really solid performance, exactly what Real madrid will need from him without Pepe and Ramos.

Jesé: 7. Real's wonder kid scored again, and completed a couple of powerful runs that also threatened Sevilla's defensive line.

Illarramendi: Came in during injury time and could not make an impact.
