Although Carlo Ancelotti included him on the squad's list, Marcelo will not be able to feature in Saturday's Derby.
Official: Marcelo will NOT play the Derby. TAS denied Madrid's appeal.

Carlo Ancelotti will be forced to start either Coentrao or Arbeloa as left-backs. Marcelo has been an undisputed starter for Real Madrid this season and he will surely be missed for Real Madrid, as his creativity and partnership with Isco could harm Atlético's defensive wall. With Coentrao or Arbeloa on the left, Ancelotti doesn't have that offensive weapon that won the Champions League Final for Real Madrid.
Coentrao has recently recovered from a minor injury, so Ancelotti might decide to start Arbeloa instead. Real Madrid's defensive line as a whole will be an experiment, as Varane and Nacho will also replace Pepe and Ramos. Carvajal, on the other hand, will be the only starter that will be able to feature in the Derby.
