This could be a decisive game for the 2014-2015 Liga BBVA title. With a win, Real Madrid would pretty much end Atlético's hopes to fight for the title, while a victory by Simeone's men would put them 4 points behind Real Madrid, who will still lead the table no matter what happens this weekend.
Real Madrid projected XI: Casillas, Carvajal, Varane, Nacho, Coentrao, Kroos, Khedira, Isco, Bale, Ronaldo, Benzema.
Atlético de Madrid projected XI: Moyà, Juanfran, Miranda, Godín, Siqueira, Turan, Gabi, Tiago, Koke, Griezmann, Mandzukic.
Carlo Ancelotti will sure be glad about having Cristiano Ronaldo back in the lineup. The Portuguese player has completed a two-match ban after being sent off against Córdoba. Still, Ancelotti will need to replace Pepe, Ramos and James, all three of them undisputed starters when healthy. Add Modric's injury to that and Real Madrid have 4 out of 11 potential starters not available.
Real's coach still needs to decide what to do with the midfield. Khedira and Illarramendi will likely fight for James' spot there, with the German holding an edge over Illarra because of his aerial skills. This could be extremely important, as Atlético de Madrid is arguably one of the world's most dangerous sides when the ball is in the air and Nacho is nowhere near as powerful as Ramos.
