It's official. Mateu Lahoz will referee the biggest game in this Liga BBVA season.
Informa @isaacfouto que MATEU LAHOZ pitará el Barça-Real Madrid del domingo 22 de marzo a las 21h en el Camp Nou

Lahoz is one of the most inconsistent referees in Spanish football. Sometimes he does a good job, and he completed a very good performance in last year's Copa del Rey Final. But he also has a tendency of missing some calls. People who like the way he officiates usually say that he is a "very British referee" to point out that he allows contact to happen.
It's true that his games are usually exciting to see, but his criteria is confusing and you never know what to expect from him. Anyway, he's surely a better referee than Undiano Mallenco, Fernández Borbalán or Clos Gómez. One thing is for certain: this next Clásico will not be a simple task for Mateu Lahoz.
