Real Madrid take on Schalke 04 in the return leg of the Champions League Round of 16. Los Blancos earned a solid 0-2 win at the VELTINS-Arena and that should be more than enough to seal the ticket to the Quarterfinals
Real Madrid: Casillas; Arbeloa, Varane, Pepe, Coentrao; Khedira, Kroos, Isco; Bale, Benzema, Ronaldo.
Schalke 04: Wellenreuther, Howedes, Matip, Nastasic, Hoger, Neustadter, Fuchs, Barnetta, Meyer, Choupo-Moting, Huntelaar.
Ancelotti starts Arbeloa, Coentrao and Khedira in Carvajal, Marcelo and Silva's spots. The Italian coach said during his pre-match press conference that his players aren't tired, but it would be a good idea to give them some rest before the Clásico against FC Barcelona (March 22nd).
Anyway, Real Madrid should be focused on getting a convincing win and build some momentum ahead of that game. The Bernabéu will not be happy with Real's recent performances and the players will surely be whistled before the match, and if things don't go well, expect some whistles during the play as well.
