Real Madrid news, March 23: El Clásico aftermath and players go on International duty

  • In case you missed it, Real Madrid lost El Clásico 2-1, meaning that Ancelotti's side are now trailing by 4 points in the Liga BBVA table. That did not please these two fans who waited for the players at Valdebebas to hit Bale and Jesé's cars and have a heated argument with Sergio Ramos.
  • Pepe admitted after the game that Suárez's goal "killed Real Madrid". Ancelotti and his players all agreed on their talks to the press that Los Blancos will not give up on La Liga until the very last match.
  • 17 Real Madrid players joined their national teams this Monday. Benzema and Varane will play for France, Cristiano Ronaldo, Pepe and Coentrao travel to Portugal, Isco, Ramos and Casillas were called up by Del Bosque. Marcelo will play for Brazil's senior squad while Silva will do it for the Olympic squad. Modric, Chicharito, Keylor Navas and Bale joined their sides as well. Germany also included Toni Kroos and Sami Khedira on their squad.
  • And obviously, Bale is under the Spanish press' spotlight after the team's defeat. Some seem to think that Bale needs to defend, score, assist and help the midfielders all at once, but they refuse to admit some other player's only duty -- Casillas just needs to save and Ramos' only task is to mark Barcelona's men, for instance --. Florentino Pérez knows why this happens, as he said during his press conference some days ago. "When they attack Bale, they're after me".
