Although the deal between Brazilian right fullback Danilo and Real Madrid seems so obvious that even FC Bayern München Pep Guardiola talks about it as done, neither the player nor Real Madrid's managing staff are willing to oficially confirm it just yet. However, on his arrival to France to play a friendly game against Les Bleus with Brazilian National Team, Danilo expressed his pride for being in top teams' wishlists, including, of course, Real Madrid:

I am doing very well with Porto right now and so the speculations about possible transfers to top European clubs are normal. Therefore, I am very happy to be linked to big clubs like Real Madrid. However, right now, I am focused in doing a good job with my club. By the end of the season, I will talk to Porto's managers and we will decide what is best for both parties.

For those who have not watched a lot of Porto's games, Danilo's words may tell you what kind of player he is:

Being a right fullback, Cafú is my natural model to follow, although I have also tried to imitate Maicon, whom I played with in the National Team. Above all, I am a tough competitor who never surrenders no matter the circumstances.
