Morata: "I barely had any kind of relationship with Ancelotti"

The Spanish striker says he "does not get" what happened with his role during the 2013-2014 season.

Álvaro Morata will not want to come back to Real Madrid if Carlo Ancelotti is the coach, or at least that is what can be read from his interview with Onda Cero last night. A very honest Morata spoke about how his feelings changed when his role went from being a key game-changer from a reserve with almost any minutes.

I still don't get why I went from playing well to end up in the stands. I did not ask to be a starter, but I deserved another treatment. I barely had any kind of relationship with Ancelotti. Allegri, for better or worse, is always looking after me.

That's a strong quote. Carlo Ancelotti has always been known for his successful man-management, but it seems that Morata has a different opinion on that front. The striker also shared his thoughts about a potential move back to Real Madrid this next summer.

It would be extremely disrespectful towards my current club, coach and player to talk about this. I'm so happy and comfortable there that I can't even think about Madrid or any other team.

It's obvious that Morata would want some kind of guarantee if he is going to join Real Madrid again. The Spanish player is a key player for Juventus and he would not leave the Italian club to be a benchwarmer in Madrid again. Finally, he also gave Jesé a subtle advice.

It's hard to compete with the BBC for a spot. Jesé might play well, but if any given player does well outside of Spain, Real Madrid will want to sign him.
