Real Madrid's interest in David Alaba is real, and according to Marca, the player himself would also be willing to leave Bayern Munich and join forces with former teammate Toni Kroos in Real Madrid.

It was reported three days ago that Real Madrid representatives had met with Alaba's father and agent to see if this was a possible move. The Austrian left back has reportedly confirmed his interest , although Real Madrid's negotiations with Bayern would be tense. Toni Kroos was only able to leave Bayern Munich because his contract was going to expire this next summer, but Alaba is not under the same circumstances. That's why Pep Guardiola and Co could ask for at least €40 million to let Alaba walk away.

Real Madrid's relationship with Bayern could have improved a little recently, especially after the German club were able to complete the signing of Xabi Alonso for a reported fee of €10 million, but Alaba's brilliant potential certainly means that Bayern will want to keep him around.
