Real Madrid have leaked their intention not to host the Copa del Rey Final between Athletic Club Bilbao and FC Barcelona at the Santiago Bernabéu. Sources close within Real Madrid told Managing Madrid that "it's always the same thing when we [Real Madrid] don't reach the Final and the Federation should find a permanent answer to this problem".
According to COPE's Arancha Rodríguez, the Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) will not force Real Madrid to host the Final.

Now, the RFEF will have to find another stadium, with Mestalla and the Vicente Calderón as potential replacements to host the Final. If Barcelona accept, expect San Mamés to be the stadium chosen.
