Raphaël Varane could leave Real Madrid this summer

The French defender failed to showed his long-term commitment to the club during his interview after the 0-2 win against Rayo.

The rumors and general talk about Varane's future won't stop any time soon, but this time because Varane did not want to finish all the speculation. When asked about whether he'll be with Real Madrid next season or not, the defender wasn't very clear.

[Smiles] You know what I'm going to answer. We're now working hard this season to win trophies.

He's obviously not giving anything away there, which is surprising. However, it's fairly simple to state that a player who isn't considering a move away from his club would not say that. Varane is a very coveted defender and he has every right to take a look at his options and decide what's best for his career, but he is also under contract with Real Madrid and his potential departure could be very profitable for Los Blancos.

French reporter Frederic Hermel said during yesterday's El Chiringuito that Varane is "not happy with the situation he's going through".

Teams like Manchester United, Chelsea, Manchester City, Bayern and even FC Barcelona will surely offer him a good contract and minutes as a starter. If Real want to keep him around, they will have to meet with him and lay their cards on the table.
