On resting starters today: "Those who featured today did well. Chicharito and Jese both scored. We put forth a big effort but everything turned out well."

On Pepe's knock: "Pepe was fine in the locker room. He will play on Tuesday."

Who will start against Atletico, James or Isco?: "Both can play against Atletico."

Losing 4-0 at the Calderon: "It's a motivation, though it will be a difficult match. We are motivated and will give our all."

On Cristiano ending the free kick drought: "It's not easy to score free kicks. Cristiano amazes me because he always wants to play and to score. He makes the difference along with other forwards."

On Cristiano's good form: "He's enjoying himself because the team is playing with more speed and that frees him up in front of goal."

On Chicharito's future: "He did very well and worked very hard. He scored a goal and could've scored another. As for his future, Manchester United still owns him so we'll have to wait until the season's over."

On his line-up for Tuesday: "I am clear on everything. All we lack is the result."

On resting Cristiano: "I didn't find it necessary because he recovered well from Wednesday's game. I chose to rest other players who seemed tired like Ramos, Marcelo, and Modric."
