Shortly after Ancelotti said in an interview that "Real Madrid could sign a better goalkeeper than Casillas", a report from Jugones indicates that Manchester United goalkeeper David De Gea is willing to join Real Madrid.

According to that same piece, De Gea would not have a problem with Iker Casillas staying in the Spanish capital. It's important to note that some other reports said that De Gea would not want to compete with Casillas for a spot in Real Madrid's lineup because he thinks it would be an "unfair battle".
Real Madrid will now have to negotiate a deal with Manchester United if they want to sign David De Gea this summer. Considering that the keeper's contract ends next summer, this should not be something difficult to achieve.
