After Luka Modric's sprained knee was confirmed this morning, it seems that Gareth Bale will not be able to help his team against Atlético de Madrid either. Although the Welsh player still has to get some tests on his calf to confirm how bad the injury is, COPE have reported that Ancelotti will not be able to rely on his talents.

Although this should be taken with a grain of salt, Gareth Bale was already highly questionable for the Derby. The Welsh player could barely walk and left the Bernabéu walking with crutches. It will be very interesting to see how Ancelotti reacts to this injury, and while Real Madrid can still deploy a very good team on the pitch, Los Blancos' chances have been decreased after these two injuries to Luka Modric and Gareth Bale.
