Arbeloa managed something that's not easy. He defended Carlo Ancelotti and Real Madrid's current coaching staff while showing some unconditional support to José Mourinho, Karanka and Co. The Spanish defender was interviewed by Josep Pedrerol during last night's El Chiringuito de Jugones, and he did not disappoint, saying that José Mourinho "could return to Real Madrid in the future."
You asked me if there's a chance for him to come back at some point, and I said yes. He's a great coach, why would Real Madrid's doors remained closed for great coaches?
Arbeloa also stated that he's still a "mourinhista" while explaining that he considers both Ancelotti and Mourinho "two good friends."
Real Madrid have just completed Danilo's signing, but that doesn't affect Arbeloa even if he plays on his same spot. "We will welcome him with arms wide open, he's a great right back and I'm not considering my departure. I have one year left in my contract and I would like to retire here even after that."
Arbeloa also publicly showed his support by saying that Cristiano Ronaldo and Gareth Bale, saying that the Portuguese's commitment "can't be matched" and that "some people are taking it out on Bale, who is a great player who will prove his worth sooner rather than later."
