The road is set. Real Madrid drew Juventus in the UEFA Champions League Semifinals Draw.
The Italian side are similar to Atlético de Madrid, playing with a counterattacking mindset that will make things difficult for Los Blancos. Morata will surely try to prove he is good enough for Real Madrid, but Carlo Ancelotti and his men should dominate the game with the possession. The first leg will be played in Italy on Tuesday May 5th, while the return leg will take place at the Bernabéu on Wednesday May 13th.
After knocking Atlético de Madrid out of the European competition, Real Madrid are arguably one of the top candidates to raise the Champions League, although nobody has managed to win back-to-back Champions League trophy. Gareth Bale and Karim Benzema should be ready to play in the first leg, but Luka Modric is still highly questionable with a sprained knee.
Real Madrid being the reigning champions, it will be interesting to see if Ancelotti's pupils can defend the title and win La Undécima just 12 months after the coveted Décima title.
