As we are at the closing stage of the season, and our title(s) fate we be depend on how well we do in the next few weeks. We could still have a chance of winning a double or out of the title race and UCL by mid-May. We shall see.
Anyway, lets get on with the main bit. Here are my preference squad for next season.
* as transfer target
+ back from loan
Goalkeepers
1. Casillas
13. De Gea* (£30-35m)
25. Navas / Pacho
I think De Gea has a 80% chance coming, he only have 1 year contract left and news reported he just recently rejected to renew. I think £ 30m would be a good deal for the future Spanish no.1 .
Iker said he is willing to stay at the club ever he get bench, so i think Navas would leave if that is the case. But obviously I want Navas to stay, as we will have 3 world class GK .
Defenders
2 Varane
3 Pepe
4 Sergio Ramos
5 Fabio or Gaya* (£10-15m?)
12 Marcelo
15 Dani Carvajal
17 Danilo
18 Nacho
No surprises here. Arbeloa is expected to leave with Danilo arrival. Him and Carvajal will fight for the first spot.
I hope Fabio stay, he was solid against At.Mad. But the "media" has been saleing him a lot recently, so I think he will leave at the end of the season and income of Gaya.
Midfielders
6 Casemiro +
8 Kroos
10 James
14 Modric
16 Verratti* (30-40m)
22 Cheryshev +
23 Isco
Verratti would be a good rotation of Modric and Kroos.
Casemiro's strength and work-rate will be very much need as the CDM when playing against physical teams.
Illarra will be sold. Lucas Silva would be loan out for minutes. Kherdia leave on a free transfer.
Forwards
7 Ronaldo
9 Benz
11 Bale
19 Back up target man/ poacher striker * (Llorente?)
21 Reus* (£40-50m)
Jese would be loan out for minutes. Little pea would be back at Manchester.
I don't expect BBC would play every single damn game in the entire season. So Reus would be a good rotation with any one of the front 3, he also fits the galacticos policy.
Furthermore, we need a different style striker when we need to plum the ball into the box in the dying minutes. A tall and strong striker like Llorente would fit the profile.
