Barely a day after Onda Cero reported that Real Madrid were seeking to buyout Iker Casillas' contract, La Sexta say the Spanish goalkeeper and Arsenal FC are coming together towards a potential transfer to the British capital.

Real Madrid would be willing to pay Casillas the two years left on his contract, meaning that Arsene Wenger's club wouldn't have to match his current salary.

The Barclays Premier League doesn't suit Casillas' goalkeeping style, but Arsenal are reportedly looking to sign an experienced goalkeeper and Casillas could be that man. That would allow Los Blancos to buy David De Gea away from Manchester United in a move that might be just a matter of time, per reports.

This will most likely be the summer of Casillas' departure, although there are several things that need to be done for that to happen.
