Real Madrid still have plenty of things to compete for until the end of the season, but the Spanish press is going all in with the team's targets in the transfer market. After completing the signing of Danilo, Los Blancos are now focusing their efforts in buying Marco Verratti from PSG, according to Marca.
With Khedira and possibily Asier Illarramendi leaving the club this summer, it would make sense to strengthen the midfield line with another playmaker, and Verratti happens to be Modric's natural successor. PSG are most likely going to sign Paul Pogba over the next few months and Verratti could leave the French capital and join Real Madrid.
According to Marca's report, the Italian player would be one of Ancelotti's demands this summer, and Real could pay around €40 million to sign him. Ancelotti used to play Verratti in Kroos' current position, so it will be interesting to see where he plays if he finally joins Los Blancos.
