- Luciano Vietto would be a cheap signing. Considering that his buyout clause is rumored to be around €20 million, it would be quite cheap for Real Madrid to add some depth to the striker position. Los Blancos will obviously have some more money ready to spend, but this would be a very profitable move for Real Madrid.
- He's young and it would not be a problem for him to be Benzema's backup for a while. Real Madrid do need a backup, and sometimes the main problem is convincing one of being a reserve. Ancelotti will likely need to tweak his rotation policy to give Vietto minutes and allow him to develop as a player, but the young Argentine would know his role.
- Real Madrid need some more answers on their bench. Chicharito has not been given many chances and he has every right to be frustrated with his role, but the Mexican isn't Real Madrid-caliber either. On the other hand, Vietto has become Villarreal's leader on his first season in Europe. As it has been proven throughout the season, Real Madrid need to find a good alternative to deploy on the offensive line when things are not clicking.
- Versatility. He's not a winger, but he could also feature on the wings if needed. He's done so with Villarreal this season and this would be just another option for the coaching staff to consider.
- Barcelona and other European clubs are interested. So, just like it happened with Danilo, Ødegaard and Asensio, it would be good for Real Madrid to prevent Barcelona from acquiring some depth. Make them look elsewhere and spend some more money!
