Real Madrid will have to find another left-back, because Gayà is about to sign a contract extension with Valencia, according to several reports in Spain. This extension would increase his buyout clause to €50 million, a fee that Real Madrid will not be willing to pay.
Gayà close to sign an extension that would increase his buyout clause to €50M. Certainly not worth that much, Madrid better look elsewhere.

Gayà was Real Madrid's main target to add depth to the left-back position. Los Blancos could have paid €18 million to sign him away from Valencia, and reports said it was almost a done deal. It seems that the Valencia player will now stay in his lifetime club, meaning that other options like David Alaba or Ricardo Rodríguez should be considered, given that Fàbio Coentrao will be leaving the club this summer unless something big happens.
