UEFA have named the referee for the return leg of the Champions League Semifinals between Real Madrid and Juventus to be played at the Santiago Bernabéu. The Swedish Jonas Eriksson is the chosen one who will try to keep things clean between both teams.
Eriksson has officiated Real Madrid games twice. The first one, when Real Madrid hosted Zenit in the 2008-2009 Champions League Group Stage. Real won that game 3-0. The last time Eriksson was in charge of a Real Madrid match was when Real visited Ajax Amsterdam in the 2012-2013 edition of the Champions League, when Los Blancos beat Ajax 1-4.
He likes to pull the trigger quickly and books players easily. For instance, he showed 5 yellow cards during the match between Porto and Basel two months ago. Considering that Real Madrid should control the game, it will be good for Ancelotti's men if Eriksson officiates with that same attitude on Wednesday.
