The debate and controversy is already fairly intense in the Spanish press. Should Carlo Ancelotti be fired? Real Madrid have played well under the Italian coach this season, that's true, but ultimately, the team hasn't won a major trophy -- just the European Supercup and the FIFA Club World Cup --. If that enough for Real Madrid to have more patience and give Ancelotti another year?
Real Madrid will keep the Italian if Klopp isn't available and also if there are no better candidates to replace him. Should this happen?
Could Ancelotti bring success to Real Madrid next season with a healthier squad and some more depth in the roster? Probably so, but there is a feeling within the fans that Ancelotti's squad threw the Liga BBVA title away. Remember when the players and coaching staff were trying to sell the Copa del Rey elimination by stating that they could stay focused in La Liga instead? Well, that didn't happen.
