Manchester United admit David De Gea could leave, Real Madrid waiting

Van Gaal says that the club has a list of potential replacements should De Gea leave.

This will be David De Gea's summer. The Spanish goalkeeper could be on his way out of the club, as Manchester United boss Louis Van Gaal admitted in quotes compiled by the BBC.

We have a list of goalkeepers who can replace him because we have to be organised always. We want him to stay and I hope he shall sign. You have three parties [involved] and the most important party is always the player. It's dependable not of Manchester United, not of me, because we want him to sign. He has to sign, he has to want to stay here at Manchester United. I don't know why he has not made a decision.

Real Madrid are obviously interested in signing the Spanish goalkeeper, but they will have to sort Iker Casillas' situation out first, as De Gea would obviously be an undisputed starter in this Real Madrid squad, dropping Casillas to the bench and a role which he might not be willing to accept.
