Benzema and Carvajal to miss the remainder of the season

When it rains, it pours.

After returning from a six match absence to face Juventus and Espanyol, Karim Benzema will once again have to miss time due to injury as he will not be able to face Getafe in the season finale. Benzema had to be subbed off in the 62nd minute in yesterday's Liga clash with a right thigh strain and is unlikely to feature on the weekend as Real Madrid wraps up its league campaign. Further tests on his injury are pending.

Also missing out with Benzema will be starting right back Dani Carvajal who also picked up a muscle knock and had to be taken off in favor of Nacho. Along with these two, Sergio Ramos, Alvaro Arbeloa, Luka Modric and Sami Khedira will all be unavailable versus Getafe at home. Given that Madrid has locked up second place in the league, that Getafe is safe from relegation and that it is a home game for Los Blancos, this could be a good opportunity for Carlo Ancelotti and his staff to experiment with the lineup and possibly give a youngster or two a chance on a very depleted bench.
