Iker Casillas: 4 - Had very little to do all game long but conceded due to a good Carlos Bacca penalty in the first half and he didn't even attempt to save Sevilla's second goal which was disappointing. He made a crucial save from Iborra in stoppage time though.
Daniel Carvajal: 4 - Energetic game from Carvajal as he made more tackles than any other player but he lost out on too many of his personal duels for my liking. He was given a yellow card after committing his third foul of the game. He didn't provide much offensively either today to help James.
Pepe: 6 - He made a couple of decent blocks and clearances at important moments late in the game and generally performed better than any other Madrid defender as his experience and composure shone through.
Raphael Varane: 5 - Varane utilised his pace to good effect on multiple occasions in this match especially after he was robbed by Kevin Gameiro only to recover the ball again. He also made an impressive 10 clearances.
Marcelo: 2 - Awful game by the Brazilian who was outpaced and out-muscled constantly by Aleix Vidal. It was his initial flick that led to the penalty and he was caught out of position for Sevilla's second as well as gifting more chances in the match. Unsurprisingly substituted for Arbeloa late on.
Toni Kroos: 4 - A surprisingly quiet game from Kroos in one of Madrid's more important games of the season. He never established control of the midfield and his lack of mobility didn't help. He tested Rico with a good shot in the second half but otherwise didn't offer much going forward.
Sergio Ramos: 3 - A ridiculous and unnecessary foul on Vidal at the end of the first half handed Sevilla their first goal via penalty. After his yellow card he played with caution and it showed as Madrid lost control of the midfield in the second half and ceded too many chances.
Isco: 6 - Good assist from Isco who beat his man well to deliver the cross for Ronaldo's first goal. Isco also made more key passes than any other player but he still takes too many touches and stalls on the ball when he shouldn't do. His play needs to become more incisive in my opinion.
James Rodríguez: 5 - The Colombian starlet provided a good ball in to Chicharito who flicked on for Cristiano to score the second. He showed good energy defensively by tracking back with Isco to cover the absent Marcelo too but otherwise he wasn't his usual self in attack today.
Cristiano Ronaldo: 9 - It's becoming quite funny now how often this team need Cristiano to rescue them from dropping points and he duly obliged again today. His fifth hat-trick against Sevilla in La Liga came about due to two terrific headers and a poachers finish inside the six yard box. Man of the match for me.
Javier Hernández: 6 - It's becoming a theme now for Chicharito to contribute for Los Blancos in big games and he did so again with an expert flick on header that allowed Ronaldo to double Madrid's advantage in the first half. That was his only significant contribution to the game but it was a decisive one and he's doing a sterling job in Benzema's absence.
Subs:
Bale: 7 - Gareth came on and with almost his first touch delivered a beautiful whipped cross for Cristiano to wrap up the three points. This sort of impact is encouraging ahead of the midweek Champions League semi-final vs Juventus.
Arbeloa and Illarramendi were given insufficient minutes to rate.
