La Gazzetta Dello Sport and José Luis Sánchez reported last night that Rafael Benítez will almost surely be Real's new coach to replace Carlo Ancelotti. Apparently, Real Madrid made the decision to fire Ancelotti next week, and while the club was thinking between Klopp and Benítez, the Spanish manager apparently was the chosen one.

However, Managing Madrid talked with Benítez's agent Manuel Garcá Quilón, who said that "for the moment", this is "just a rumor."

Benítez is still trying to get Napoli a spot in next year's Champions League, so Quilón could be trying to do Benítez a favor to keep his players concentrated in the important matches ahead. When Gazzetta and José Luis Sánchez report the Benítez-Real Madrid deal so surely, there might be some truth behind. Still, García Quilón's statement should prevail, as this is the first official word heard about the saga. Nobody knows what will happen with Benítez and Real Madrid yet, and García Quilón wants to keep it that way for a while.

This is just a strong rumor on the media, for the moment. Furthermore, Rafa is still preparing what will be a huge game for Napoli ahead. They have not called us...
