Ancelotti: "My gut tells me I will stay with Real Madrid"

Ancelotti's future is not solved just yet. Could he change his coaching staff if he stays?

I haven't talked with the club about whether I will be the coach or not, so I am Real Madrid's coach until they tell me otherwise. We will talk  this Sunday or this next Monday, that's what the club told me. I brought my staff here and I think they're elite, I trust them because I believe they are the world's greatest staff. My gut tells me I will stay with Real Madrid, I think so.

Has Ancelotti's relationship with Florentino changed?

I've always had a good relationship with Florentino Pérez. I know this is a very special moment for the club because they will make a very important decision for the short-term future. If I stay I will be happy because this is what I want, but if I don't I will remember these two years fondly. We had good and bad moments but maybe I experienced the happiest moment in Real Madrid's history.

Cristiano Ronaldo's season has been superb, says Ancelotti.

He's done more than enough to win titles for this club. He's scored so many goals, it would be unfair to ask more from him this season.

The Italian coach isn't bothered by the rumors.

I don't care that the press is reporting interest in other coaches. I have experience and I know this happens, it doesn't surprise me and it doesn't bother me either.

Ancelotti could change some things next year if he stays.

It's hard to talk about this because we have analyzed what happened during this year, maybe we need to change some small things, we could do some small things differently next year, but I still believe our philosophy is the proper one. I don't want to grade my season, our start was good but we didn't finish the way we wanted to but we fought until the very end.

Do the players know Real Madrid's decision? Do they care?

I have to thank my players for what they think about me, we have a very good relationship but they must not get involved in the club's decision.

When asked about how he controls the dressing room, Ancelotti was clear.

I always want to work with my own personality, I don't like to shout and this is how I work and handle authority.

Could this be Casillas' last game at the Bernabéu?

Casillas did not ask me to play this last game, it was my decision. Casillas wants to stay and I believe both parts will be happy.
