Real Madrid vs Getafe, Liga BBVA 2014-15: Player Ratings

A historic match in many ways.

Iker Casillas: 5 - Not a great deal he could have done for any of the goals that Real Madird conceded as he was let down by his defence on each occasion. However he managed to make a good save late on from a Pablo Sarabia shot. An unspectacular performance but certainly not a bad one in what might his final game for Real Madrid.

Álvaro Arbeloa: 4 - Uninspiring contribution from Arbeloa today and it told as he was substituted at half time.

Pepe: 4 - The Portuguese defender was also not at his sharpest today. He came off with injury in the first half so let's hope it's not too serious and that he is able to begin next season in top shape.

Nacho: 4 - I was a bit disappointed with Nacho today as I hoped he'd try to show he has the necessary quality to play more regularly but it was a mess in defence in the first half. In the second half his distribution was very good though.

Marcelo: 8 - Marcelo did the usual Marcelo today. He was often absent in defence but today it bore fruit for the team as his excellent first half cross helped Madrid open the scoring and he also put the icing on the cake with the final goal of the match.

Toni Kroos: 4 - Another quiet game to end a quiet 2nd half of the season for Toni Kroos, who started his Madrid career in spectacular form. I still don;t think he's in his best position and Modric missing for large parts of the season hasn't helped his play.

Asier Illarramendi: 6 - A tidy game from Illarra who did better than Kroos defensively in the midfield and dominated proceedings in the second half. He completed more passes than any other player which is testament to the way he controlled the tempo.

James Rodríguez: 8 - A great game from the Colombian who has only impressed me more and more as the season has gone on. His free-kick goal was beautifully placed and he also offered the team an assist and three key passes today. It was a top offensive match for him.

Jesé Rodríguez: 7 - Today Jesé showed the spark that we saw last season as he scored a lovely goal as well as utilising his pace to assist two others. However he did make a silly error that lead to one of Getafe's goals. He's getting better for sure and if he has a solid pre-season I believe next season will be a good one for him.

Cristiano Ronaldo: 9 - The man is simply incredible at times. A second hat-trick in as many matches and he only played less than an hour! He nearly scored a fourth too save for the woodwork and broke numerous records in this match. 48 goals and 16 assists in 35 Liga BBVA games this season, he can;t be accused of not trying his best to win the title.

Javier Hernández: 7 - An impressive game from Chicharito who managed to get himself another goal in the white shirt of Madrid. I'd like for him to be back in the Spanish capital next season but we'll see what the future holds for him.

Subs:

Raphael Varane: 5 - Came in late on in the first half for the injured Pepe and Los Blancos instantly conceded again but otherwise he was solid in the second half and kept up his good form.

Dani Carvajal: 6 - Dani replaced the Spartan at half-time and contributed to the Real Madrid attacks on the right hand side with Jesé. He wasn't tested much defensively however.

Martin Ødegaard: 6 - It was an encouraging performance from the 16 year old who made history by becoming the youngest player to ever wear the shirt for Los Blancos. A memorable night for him!
