Florentino Pérez will not pay attention to the surveys. No matter how the club members feel, no matter what they do, Rafael Benítez will become Real Madrid's manager next week. That was already reported few days ago. Florentino Pérez and Benítez will announce this deal in early June, right after Napoli's final game against Lazio.

Although Benítez is focused on Napoli's decisive match to earn a spot in next year's Champions League, his agent Manuel García-Quilón has been involved in talks with Real's board. Benítez is working really hard in Italy and is trusting his agent to do all the talk. An agreement between the parts has already been reached, but they want to keep that as a secret given how important Napoli's next match is.

While some reports indicated that Florentino Pérez was reconsidering his decision after how badly criticized by the fans Benítez has been, the President believes that the Spanish is the right man for the job and the safest bet. Pérez confirmed during his press conference this Monday that Real Madrid will announce their new coach next week.

The stage is set, and unless something huge and unexpected happens in the next few days, Benítez will sign his contract with Real Madrid in about a week.
