Report: Benítez's contract with Real Madrid a surprising one

His salary will be close to €4 million.

Benítez still has to coach a very important match for SSC Napoli this Sunday, but his agent Manuel García-Quilón and Real Madrid have everything ready for him to become Real's next manager. Even his contract has been agreed between both parts, according to COPE.

Benítez will get a two-year deal -- Quilón is trying to get a third year and Real could be persuaded -- and will earn around €4 million, less than what José Mourinho and Carlo Ancelotti earned. For an elite coach, that's a very affordable contract.

Real Madrid still have to make a decision over Riccardo Bigon. He was Napoli's Director of Football and Benítez would like to work with him in the Spanish capital, but if Real are going to hire someone for that spot, they would like to choose their own candidate.

Either way, everything's ready for Benítez to sign his contract with Real Madrid. The Spanish coach will try to prove every Real Madrid fan wrong by delivering some trophies.
