Karim Benzema was able to rejoin the squad in Sunday's training session, meaning that he could be a part of the team's list to travel to Turin and play in the Juventus Stadium. Later, reports from Cadena COPE indicated that he would not be available to start the game, although his presence on the bench was apparently out of question.
However, French reporter Frederic Hermel from L'Equipe and As writes today that Karim Benzema still has some problems on his knee which will keep him out of the list. Benzema will stay in Madrid and recover in time for Saturday's match against Valencia, according to Hermel.
Carlo Ancelotti will speak in press conference today (18:00 CET), and he will assess Benzema's status there. But Hermel is close to both Ancelotti and Benzema and his report should be taken seriously. As always, Carlo Ancelotti won't take any chances if a player is not completely ready to feature.
