Luka Modric and Karim Benzema will not be available for the first leg against Juventus. While the French will most likely start in the second leg at the Bernabéu, Modric is ruled out for that game. Those are two key starters for Carlo Ancelotti. Is Massimiliano Allegri facing that same kind of problem?
Player, Injury, Status (Expected Return)
- Paul Pogba, Hamstring, Day-To-Day (could play the second leg)
- Martín Cáceres, Ankle, Out (highly questionable for the second leg)
- Kwadwo Asamoah, Knee, Out (Early June 2015)
- Rubinho, Hamstring, Day-to-Day (will return in a few days, but he's the reserve GK)
Asamoah and Pogba are starters for Juventus, while Martín Cáceres is a role player who also gets minutes throughout the season. Rubinho, however, is a reserve goalkeeper who would not play against Real Madrid even if he was healthy.
Pogba could try to help his squad on the return leg, and so could Cáceres. Asamoah, though, is definitely out for the whole tie.
