It will not be easy for Real Madrid to handle Iker Casillas' situation. Although it seems that both sides want to part ways, Casillas keeps saying that he wants to stay and refuses to negotiate over his potential departure from the club, no matter whether De Gea signs for Madrid or not.
Spanish journalist Eduardo Inda said during last night's El Chiringuito that Casillas is set to stay.
What he says is that he will only leave the club if he's paid the two years remaining on his contract. He might be willing to accept a year and a half, but we're talking about €20 or 21 million here. Right now, Casillas has more chances of staying with Real Madrid than leaving. Real Madrid have not received a single offer for Iker Casillas, and even though the goalkeeper says that he has a good relationship with De Gea, the latter is reluctant to make a move to Madrid if Casillas stays.
