According to Spanish newspaper As, Sergio Ramos "has made a decision to leave Real Madrid this summer" and that recent events, such as being linked to Barcelona, have served as motivation to force the 10 year Real Madrid servant out of the club.
According to the "report":
Ramos does not want to be another player who has to leave the club under a cloud as was the case with Vicente Del Bosque, Hierro, Raúl and if everything materializes as anticipated, goalkeeper, Iker Casillas. The defender feels that he is undervalued and has his mind firmly made up. For this reason, he is prepared to move to another club with no salary increase expectations, (he's currently on €6 million euro net per year).
One very important thing to keep in mind: As is a pretty terrible source. They don't list any quotes, any sources, anything substantial which would lead one to believe that this report is true. They also make no mention of Ramos' camp denying a connection to Barca or even Jose Bartomeu denying a link as well. But, that's As for ya, take it with the world's largest grain of salt.
Later, COPE added that Manchester United will go really hard after the Spanish defender.
