The relationship between Real Madrid and Sergio Ramos has been difficult for the last couple of months, but the Spanish defender and club representatives met this morning in Valdebebas to find an answer to the contract issues that caused several rumors of a potential departure from Madrid.
Although Ramos was reportedly inclined to leave Real Madrid this same summer and join Manchester United, it now seems that Real Madrid and the player are working to find a way out of that mess. Ramos was asking €10 million/year and Real Madrid were offering €8 million, meaning that an agreement could be reached around €9 million for the next five seasons.
Other reports indicate that Ramos met with CEO José Ángel Sánchez to let him know that he wants to leave the club as soon as possible.
Ramos and his agent have not denied the rumors of a potential move away from Real Madrid, so it will be interesting to see how the Bernabéu fans react to Sergio Ramos once the team starts playing matches at the Bernabéu again.
