It seems that Sergio Ramos is going to leave Real Madrid, and if that happens, Florentino Pérez and his board will need to find a replacement. PSG's Marquinhos and Valencia's Otamendi are the two primary targets to fill Ramos' shoes if the Spanish defender joins Manchester United this summer, according to Eduardo Inda during last night's El Chiringuito de Jugones.

Marquinhos is still 21 years old but PSG would not sell him easily given that they spent €30 million on him two years ago. However, he is an EU player -- he was born in Brazil but he has a Portuguese passport --, something very important considering that Real Madrid already have James, Danilo, Casemiro and Lucas Silva as non-EU players -- one of those four will have to leave --.

Otamendi, on the other hand, is also a non-EU player and would be forced to get an Italian passport if he wants to sign for Real Madrid. Reports from Valencia indicate that the player and his agent are trying to get that done, but it's not that easy.

Ramos might be on his way out, but it will not be easy for Real Madrid to find a proper replacement.
