Ángel Di María has had a very mediocre season for Manchester United. The British club paid €80 million to sign him away from Real Madrid but Di María hasn't adapted to the Premier League well. Now, he wants to return to Real Madrid, according to La Sexta.

That report indicates that Di María wants his agent to ask Real Madrid if the doors would be open for him. Considering how he left, Florentino Pérez will not be interested in his return and this report should be taken with a grain of salt. How important would he be in Benítez's Real Madrid?

Di María has been rumored to be on his way out of United this summer, with big clubs like Paris Saint-Germain interested in his signing. However, Manchester United will likely want to recover a big part of the investment they made exactly a year ago. The Argentinian might be leaving United, but his return to Real Madrid seems unlikely.
