Real Madrid want to sign a left back this summer, and knowing that Filipe Luis might not be too comfortable at Chelsea, they decided to inquire about his status. According to Marca, the player did not even want to hear about it and would only consider a return to the Spanish league if Atlético de Madrid come calling.

Filipe Luis developed as a player in Real Madrid's academy, that's why his decision is so shocking. Still, it would probably be a bit controversial to have both Brazilian left backs fighting for the starting spot in Real Madrid and also in the national team.

No matter what Real Madrid do, it seems that Filipe Luis doesn't want to play for Los Blancos. Nobody knows what will happen with Real's left backs, because some reports from Spain indicated that Benítez would like to keep Coentrao and Marcelo for the next season. With Gayà and Alaba now out of reach, Real Madrid will have some decisions to make.
