OFFICIAL: Sami Khedira Signs With Juventus

His five years in Madrid come to a close.

Almost adding insult to injury following Juventus' Champions League defeat of Real Madrid, five year veteran Sami Khedira has passed his physical with the i bianconeri and will be joining them on July 1 all for the low, low price of nothing at all.

Khedira joined Real Madrid in the summer of 2010 for €18 million and went on to establish himself as an excellent midfielder partner to Xabi Alonso. While never particularly excelling at any one skill, from scoring to passing to defensive output, Khedira's work rate and nonstop motor made him one of the best in the world in his position. Unfortunately for him, his club and nation, a series of crippling injuries affected him from 2013 on and he was never the same. He did get to start in last year's Champions League final but he never really became a serious member of Carlo Ancelotti's system.

He leaves Real Madrid with 161 games under his belt, as well as nine goals, one Champions League title, one league title, two Copa del Rey titles, a UEFA Super Cup and a Club World cup.

Best of luck to him and at least he'll always have this massive goal in the 2011-2012 league race.
