Real Madrid say 'no' to Sergio Ramos' move to Manchester United

Real Madrid now consider Sergio Ramos the leader of this team after the departure of Iker Casillas. Ramos himself knows that he will not be sold this summer, even though he is determined to do so after the Florentino Pérez's refusal of giving him a big contract extension, according to Marca.

Ramos is Real Madrid's first captain now and has two years left on his current contract, meaning that there's enough time for him and Real Madrid to reconsider their options and sign that extension. One would think that Ramos and Real Madrid want to stay together, but it seems that Pérez and Ramos' relationship is almost broken.

It would be a smart move from Real Madrid to wait and see how this season plays out and then make a move to keep Ramos under contract. That probably means that David De Gea might not join Real Madrid this summer, but the keeper would sign as a free agent in 12 months.
