This is probably good news for Real Madrid, because it's always better to avoid travelling North of Spain during the winter. Real Madrid will kick-off the 2015-2016 Liga BBVA season by playing away against Sporting De Gijón on August 22nd, a newly promoted team.
That's a fairly manageable challenge for a team which will still be learning some of Benítez's coaching style. Gijón were one of the best sides in last year's Segunda División but Real Madrid should be capable of earning the three points in their first Liga BBVA game.
On the other hand, FC Barcelona will visit San Mamés to play against Athletic Bilbao, making it three matches against them in August -- two legs of the Supercup and this Liga BBVA game --.
The first Clásico of the season will be played at the Santiago Bernabéu on November 7th/8th, meaning that Real Madrid's last meeting against Barcelona in La Liga will be at the Camp Nou.
Real Madrid - Barcelona (November 8th) Matchday 12. Barcelona - Real Madrid (April 3rd) Matchday 31.
