Real Madrid confirmed via their official website that Lucas Vázquez will be back with the squad after spending one season on loan for Espanyol.
Real Madrid recovered the rights to Lucas Vázquez after the agreement with Espanyol. The player will stay with Real Madrid for the next five seasons.
Vázquez is a decent right winger who will add some depth to the squad, but he should not be expected to play major minutes this season. However, knowing Rafa Benítez's tendency to rotate his players, Vázquez could be an interesting role player for the right wing.
Denis Cheryshev is expected to stay with Real Madrid as well, having a similar role to Vázquez's but this time on the left wing. These two players fit well into Benítez's tactics given their work-rate and their speed through the flanks, but nobody knows whether they will have the quality needed to play for Real Madrid or not.
